Aim: Now, it can be said that information has become a god. Information is an asset that can create competitive advantages in both communicating and driving the objectives of individuals or organizations to achieve more efficiently. The ability to analyze and utilize data is therefore what individuals or organizations need in order to select and analyze the vast amounts of data for maximum benefit. This special issue of WSEAS Transactions on Information Science and Applications aims to bring together examples of analyzing and utilizing data for effective communication and operations from different regions of the world. This, in order to create an understanding of this state of knowledge, draw lessons for application in other areas, and prepare for the next step towards sustainability. In this regard, the editor pays particular attention, but are not limited to these issues, to innovative social communications, political communications, and internal communications to drive operational efficiency.
