Aim: A special issue is devoted to the area of current theory, design and optimization problems of load bearing elements, structures, and intelligence adaptive structural composite systems. Attention focuses primarily on the interaction tasks of structures under static and dynamic load effects. The experience from the experimental tests, modelling and simulations of the structures and structure failures are welcome.
