A growing number of new applications such as virtual/augmented reality (VR/AR), autonomous driving, Internet of Things (IoT), wireless backhaul (replacing labor-intensive installation of fiber optics), and unprecedented new applications. Not yet invented, it requires even higher data rates and lower latency than what 5G networks offer. 6G is expected to extend the capabilities of 5G further. High bit rates (up to Tbit/s) and low latencies (less than 1 ms) enable the introduction of new services. Ubiquitous edge intelligence, machine-like communication at ultra-large-scale, ultra-reliable, low-latency communication, holographic telepresence, eHealth and wellness applications, ubiquitous connectivity in intelligent environments, industry 4.0 and massive robotics, 3D massive scale unmanned mobility, augmented reality (AR) and virt! ual reality (VR). For the above reasons, this special issue collects high-quality research papers and articles on the latest trends and developments in mobile cellular networks (5G, B5G, 6G) and wireless local area networks, including IoT scenarios and their integration. It is intended to This special issue invites original papers that contribute to the scientific community with solid ideas that have not been previously published or reviewed by other journals or conferences. We welcome theoretical investigations, simulations, and hands-on experiments.
